Abstract: This article explores Virtual Reality (VR) within the hospitality industry. We discuss five significant cases to demonstrate VR's emerging application in the hospitality industry. They include hotel chains such as Best Western Hotels and Resorts, The Hilton, Hyatt Hotels, MGM Resorts International, and Marriott International Inc. Through an analysis of five distinct case studies, the article illustrates how VR is utilized across marketing, training, and recruitment within the hospitality industry. The study also highlights VR’s implications for human resource development (HRD), particularly in employee engagement, guest satisfaction, and reducing attrition rates within the hospitality sector.
