Abstract: Abstract: This poster session will present an innovative project to raise awareness and provoke moral deliberation about the precarity of essential work and its detrimental impacts on the lives of essential workers. The project utilizes digital animated media to prompt reflection on precarity of essential work and a framework for considering how the ethics of care and human flourishing might counter the domination of market forces in the organization of the global economy of essential work. We will report on a symposium of worker advocates and academics to explore how essential workers are pushing back on the market economy with systems level interventions that puts a concern for people and the social good in par with the market in the organization of essential work.
