Abstract: In their study on teaching and assessing HRD, Sambrook and Stewart (2010) underscored that there were “not sufficient case studies or they are too out of date” (p. 726). The HRD scholarly community has not adequately addressed the dearth of HRD case studies available. In this Focus Session, Teaching and Writing HRD Cases, we aim to support instructors in HRD programs and T&D professionals in teaching and scholarly practice. We plan to (a) provide participants with advice regarding teaching and writing relevant, contemporary, and engaging HRD cases and (b) create a learning community around case studies as a learning methodology.
